Mathematics Olympiad
Treviso District
The reference point for students and teachers in the Treviso District who want to learn about, prepare for, and experience the Mathematics Olympiad.
The district’s coordinating school, responsible for providing the resources needed to organize the district competitions and the related award ceremony, is the State Scientific High School Leonardo da Vinci in Treviso.

What are the Mathematics Olympiads?
The Mathematics Olympiads are a set of individual and team competitions promoted by the UMI (Italian Mathematical Union) and organized across several levels: school, district, national, and international.
For the Treviso District, the pathway involves students from upper secondary schools and accompanies participants from the Archimedes’ Games up to, for the best performers, the National Final in Cesenatico and the subsequent selection paths for international competitions.

Why participate?
Participating in the Mathematics Olympiads does not only mean competing, but above all challenging oneself, developing reasoning skills, and engaging with new and stimulating problems.
The challenge is not so much against other students as against the problem itself: an opportunity to improve, discover new ways of thinking, and experience mathematics as a creative, curious, and deeply formative activity.

Why this website?
Schools are not always able to organize structured training paths for olympiad mathematics; often students receive only an initial introduction and must then explore many topics independently. At the same time, many students interested in the competitions do not know where to start or which materials to use to prepare effectively.
This website was created to provide a clear reference point for the Treviso District: it collects information about the competitions, suggests possible study paths, and points to useful materials for a progressive and sustainable preparation that can also be pursued individually.
The proposed guidance can be useful not only for students studying independently, but also for teachers who wish to organize training activities or olympiad mathematics programs in their schools.
